Read your answers

Use the assistant to find what needs attention and what to check next. Its answer depends on the records available in SolarSENS and the data it could read.

Check the date and time

Ask the assistant to state the date range and the Plant's time zone. A Plant in another country can have a different local date. If the Plant has no time zone in its record, the assistant needs you to specify one.

Today's production may cover only part of the day. Compare complete days when you review daily performance. A daily total does not show when a change occurred; ask for a day chart to investigate the time of a change.

Check the units

TermWhat it tells you
Power, in kWHow quickly the Plant produces electricity at a given time or over a stated interval.
Energy or yield, in kWhHow much electricity the Plant produced over a period.
Performance ratio (PR)A measure of production relative to a reference that accounts for sunlight and Plant capacity. Ask whether the answer uses a fraction or a percentage.
AvailabilityA measure of availability for the stated equipment and period. Ask which definition the returned value uses before comparing different views.

Do not compare a power reading with a daily energy total. Ask the assistant to show the units and time range beside each value.

Missing does not mean zero

A missing value means that the answer has no usable value for that item or time. It does not prove zero production or a device failure. An empty result can also mean that no records matched the request.

Separate measured values from missing values.
Which Plants, devices, or times were not checked?

Separate evidence from a possible cause

Low production, a weak string, or an alarm can point to a problem. It does not by itself confirm the cause. Weather, data gaps, operating conditions, and equipment issues can produce similar patterns.

What evidence supports this conclusion?
Which causes are only possibilities, and what should we check next?

Confirm an equipment fault with suitable readings or a site check. Use your normal operations process for any action; the assistant cannot operate the Plant or change its records.
